Report by the MTCR Chair: Outreach Visit to Israel

With a visit to Israel on 5 March, the first outreach mission under the New Zealand Chair has been successfully completed. The Chair was joined in Israel by the TEM Chair and representatives from a number of MTCR Partner countries.

The MTCR and Israel have a long history of fruitful engagement together and this visit highlighted the ongoing value of discussions. The programme included meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the Defense Export Controls Agency. These were highly collegial and interactive exchanges on developments in the MTCR, as well as on challenges to export controls more broadly including in tacking emerging technology.
